‘ The making – of’, the production is apparent based on design drawings and pictures of the manufacturing process.
It is surprising then to see the result: fix and ready-made costumes from theater productions of recent, but also from older productions.
You can see works by famous national designers, as well as Arno Bremers (he designed costumes for the musicals A chorus line and Tommy;) Rien Bekkers (he worked for Operas such as Carmen and Fidelio) and Nicolaas Wijnberg (he designed the decorations and costumes for Operas by Ravel and plays by Shakespeare).
Highlight of the new exhibition is undoubtedly Joseph’s coloured dreamcoat from the musical: Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.
